Title: Hand Assembly Lead

Position Summary
The Assembly Lead reports directly to the Hand Assembly Manager and is responsible for:

 Insuring best practices within the “Assembly” department. Operator and Temp employee training, quality and efficiency of all personal and equipment for Bolger Direct facility.

 Monitor workflow in all areas that affect the requirements of each customer’s printed program from an assembly stand point.

 Provide support to the assembly workflow at the Bolger Direct Print on Demand Center; work directly with all assembly personal on organization, direction and project completion and any other duties necessary in the production process.

 Requires problem solving skills according to the needs of the customer.

 Able to establish and maintain a strong relationship with Sale Representatives, Production Project Managers, Account Managers, Production Staff and work effectively with all levels of the company.

Principle Accountabilities/ responsibilities (not limited to):

1. Identifies and resolves issues on the production floor as they pertain or may impact Bolger Direct or customers from an assembly quality and efficiency stand point. Follows up with necessary personnel to assure appropriate action was taken and the issue is resolved.

2. Responsible for sharing information and insuring proper cross training efforts are taking place to maximize operator skill sets and efficiency.

3. Properly train and utilize EFI Monarch system for job cost time, inventory control and removal from WIP.

4. Accurately communicate to internal customers on any assembly quality issues, or concerns and have them resolved to meet the client expectations on quality and on time delivery.

5. Assure all department QC checks are being completed per Bolger ISO 9001 processes.

6. Builds relationship to facilitate changes to insure Bolger Direct Assembly is compliant to meet the lowest possible price point without jeopardizing quality.

7. Work with all Bolger Direct departments to facilitate efficient handling to insure timely and accurate completion of requirements necessary to meet our customer requirements.

8. Facilitate internal project plan and team meetings to assure communication and engagement of employees.

9. Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks at any given time and be able to prioritize as needed.

10. Attend events to maintain/enhance knowledge and understanding of assembly advancements technology and equipment that will improve department efficiency.

11. Track and assure all material items are ordered and stocked for department’s success.

12. Assist in implementing and identified opportunities to increase Bolger Value Add Revenue.

Required Skills and Attributes:

 Experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Qualifications:

Minimum High school education is required.

Lead knowledge in support of Assembly capabilities and equipment a must.

Ability to handle multiple task functions in a fast pace, high demand environment. Must be self-motivated and able to take direction from numerous sources.

Able to trouble shoot and resolve problems independently or through others.

Possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Work autonomously, with little direction, and possess good organizational and scheduling skills.
