The United States Postal Service recently announced significant refinements to its service standards that will impact mail delivery nationwide. As your trusted print and mail partner, Bolger is closely monitoring these changes to ensure seamless service for all our clients. This proactive approach is part of the Bolger Advantage that our customers have come to rely on.

What’s Changing

Starting April 1, 2025, USPS will begin implementing refined service standards in a two-phase approach, with the second phase beginning July 1. The good news is that according to USPS:

  • The current five-day service standard window for First-Class Mail will remain unchanged
  • Service reliability is expected to improve nationwide
  • More than 80% of market-dominant mail volume will see no changes

The Postal Service projects these refinements will generate at least $36 billion in savings over the next decade through transportation, mail processing, and real estate cost reductions.

What This Means for Bolger Clients

Our clients can expect:

  1. Maintained delivery timelines for First-Class Mail
  2. Potentially shorter delivery windows for Marketing Mail, Periodicals, and Package Services
  3. Improved reliability in overall mail delivery

How Bolger Is Responding

As these changes roll out, our team is working proactively to:

  • Develop strategies to maximize efficiency within the new framework
